It Hugs Back are a four piece from Kent, England. They mesh dreamlike soundscapes and experimental guitar feedback into sublimely melodic pop-perfect indie tunes, making the comparisons to My Bloody Valentine and Yo La Tengo wholly justified. It Hugs Back spent 2008 releasing charmingly artworked 7” singles in the UK. Their most recent single, "Work Day" was given plenty of spins there by influential people like Radio 1’s Steve Lamacq and Rob Da Bank and 6 Music’s Gideon Coe. They also spent much of 2008 perfecting their beautifully crafted debut album Inside Your Guitar at The Record Room, the bands homemade recording studio. Inside Your Guitar is an impressive debut of gently haunting melodies, tuned in and turned-up fuzzy guitar and infectious summer hits that recall classic albums like Pet Sounds and the heady hazy days of early 90’s Lemonheads at their peak.
